Inspired by Circlist - circumcised at 33

One of my most vivid memories of childhood is being in a doctor's surgery in the UK and the doctor recommending circumcision. I had a moderately tight foreskin and had been suffering from multiple infections. I think it was the first time my foreskin had been retracted and I still remember being amazed that it could do that. I think my mother was against circumcision as it was never mentioned again. But that moment sewed a seed in my mind which never went away. This was in pre-internet days so there was really no way to easily research circumcision or to find out how to get it done - there was no way, without further persistent problems, that the operation would be performed on the NHS.

The idea continued to be a desire. I just felt that a circumcised penis looked much better - much more comfortable. Then the internet came along and at some point I began to research being circumcised. Now an adult I could make my own decision. I found the circlist website and, although I knew circumcision was for me, it took me some time to pluck up the courage. I'd been married for nearly 10 years when I raised the subject with my wife who immediately agreed to support me. We researched it together and I was circumcised in 2008, aged 33. I decided to go for 'high and tight'. There was no pain with the operation. The only discomfort in the whole process was the tightness of the dressing, which I was told to keep in place for a week. Healing was quick and I have no regrets. My sex life is much better and I just think it looks much nicer. Thankfully my wife agrees.

The circlist website was such an inspiration that I occasionally come back and have a look. Now I've decided to share my story so that it might be an inspiration to others..
